The Roundabout Theatre Company is extending its hit production of Reginald Rose's Twelve Angry Men for another week. The show will now run at the American Airlines Theatre through April 3, according to a production spokesperson.

In Twelve Angry Men, a young delinquent awaits sentencing for the manslaughter of his aggressive father. One juror feels that there is a “reasonable doubt”—to the frustration of his 11 colleagues—thus preventing a quick verdict. During the heated deliberations, the hidden preconceptions and assumptions of the jurors are revealed. When faced with playing the hangman, each juror is forced to face himself.

The production, directed by Scott Ellis, opened to critical acclaim on October 28. On February 1, the show will welcome two new cast members: Byron Jennings is set to replace Larry Bryggman who is going to appear in Romance at the Atlantic Theatre Company and Robert Foxworth is stepping in for the departing Philip Bosco who is to appear in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the Hilton Theatre this spring. Original cast members Tom Aldredge, Mark Blum, Robert Clohessy, Peter Friedman, Boyd Gaines, Kevin Geer, Michael Mastro, Matte Osian, John Pankow, James Rebhorn and Adam Trese are expected to stay with the show for its entire run.
