Keeping pace with the growing fans of the music of Hairspray (the soundtrack popped up as #2 on the Billboard chart this week!), the producers of the hit movie musical are allowing its wannabe hair-hoppers across the country to join in the fun by attending sing-a-longs with the film. The national campaign begins August 3 in select cinemas all over America, but as a launch, the film's stars Nikki Blonsky and Elijah Kelley made a special appearance at the inaugural of the sing-along on Wednesday, August 1, in New York at the AMC Loews Kips Bay Cinema at East 32 Street and Second Avenue.
