Backstage at the Ambassador Theatre on October 30, Luba Mason, who is currently playing coy criminal Velma Kelly in the revival of Chicago, got a special visit from fiancé Ruben Blades. Blades was appointed minister of tourism by Panamanian president Martín Torrijos in September 2004. The Cook County Jail (at least the Broadway version) got a little cozier on that night.
