It’s an honor just to be nominated! That’s the sentiment shared by the smiling folks who collected certificates at a cocktail reception for the Drama Desk's 2009 award nominees, held on May 1 at Il Bastardo restaurant. A mix of Broadway stars (Jane and Dolly!) and off-Broadway stalwarts gathered to mingle and pose with their nomination certificates. The Drama Desk Awards will be presented on May 17 at Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts at Lincoln Center, hosted by Harvey Fierstein. For now, see how the stars looked at this casual Friday theatrical event.
