Jane Fonda returns to the stage in Moises Kaufman's play.
Oh, to be a fly on the wall in Jane Fonda’s dressing room at the Eugene O’Neill Theatre! This week alone, the star of Moises Kaufman’s 33 Variations has welcomed backstage visitors such as Dolly Parton, Rosie O’Donnell and playwright Eve Ensler, who urged Fonda not to read any of the reviews that came out on March 10, the day after the show’s official opening. “AND I DIDN’T!!!” Fonda posted on her blog. “Talk about discipline!!!” The next day, she held court with one more very special guest: Robert Redford, her co-star in the 1967 movie version of Barefoot in the Park.
