Broadway Grosses: It Still Doesn't Suck to Be Avenue Q

Tony-winning musical Avenue Q will soon begin its much-publicized Vegas engagement, and it is also far from running out of steam on Broadway. The show made $472,553 last week down from the previous week but still a hefty sum given that its potential is $516,205 and filled the 796-seat Golden Theatre to 97.11% capacity.

Barrett Foa Moves into a Starring Role in Avenue Q

Understudy Barrett Foa is set to take over for Tony-nominated actor John Tartaglia in Avenue Q. He will begin performances as Princeton and Rod on February 1.

Foa currently serves in the Avenue Q ensemble and as the understudy for Princeton, Rod, Nicky, Trekkie and the Bad Idea Bears. He appeared in the original cast of Mamma Mia! on Broadway ...

Understudy Ann Sanders will play the role of Christmas Eve in Avenue Q while original star Ann Harada is on maternity leave. Harada is expected to depart the production in mid-October and return in approximately three months.
