A life-affirming musical about a young boy beating all odds to fulfill his dream.
What a week for Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton! The former first lady, historic presidential contender and current junior senator from New York announced that she has accepted the role of secretary of state under President-elect Obama. But that was nothing compared to the real highlight of her holiday weekend (well, in our opinion!): meeting the cast of Billy Elliot. It's a Clinton family tradition to see a Broadway show over Thanksgiving, and this year Senator Clinton and daughter Chelsea headed to the Imperial Theatre on November 29 to take in the touching musical about a boy born to dance. After giving the performance a standing ovation, the Clintons (minus former President Bill Clinton, who was feeling under the weather) congratulated the cast and took time to sign autographs and smile for our camera. Hooray for Hillary!
