It's been 22 years since a fully staged production of Dreamgirls has played New York, and from the look of this video, it was worth the wait! Sit back and relish in almost 15 minutes worth of footage from Robert Longbottom's new production of the well-loved musical, including clips of newcomer Moya Angela's stirring "(And I Am Telling You) I'm Not Going" and "I Am Changing," Chestor Gregory as James "Thunder" Early (a role he seems born to play) and the new diva sing-off take on "Listen," first heard in the hit film version of the show. After its extended run at the Apollo Theatre ends on December 12, the show hits the road. Will it wind up back on Broadway after seeing the country? Our fingers are certainly crossed!
