When a show boasts James Earl Jones and Vanessa Redgrave as its above-the-title stars, the opening night party had better be a swanky affair. Well, the two theater icons got what they deserved after Driving Miss Daisy’s big Broadway debut at the Golden Theatre on October 25: Along with co-star Boyd Gaines, the actors were chauffeured to the Plaza Hotel in a convoy of 1953 Packards, making their entrance on a balmy night to a black-tie soiree in the hotel’s gorgeous ballroom. Broadway.com staked out a prime spot on the red carpet and inside the swanky party to capture all the highlights just for you.
