About the Show

Forbidden Broadway: Special Victims Unit, which ended its run at the Douglas Fairbanks Theatre on May 22, will start performances at its new home four days later than previously announced. The show will now get underway at the 47th Street Theatre on June 24.

Forbidden Broadway: SVU opened at the Fairbanks on December 16, 2004. It pokes fun at Broadway shows including Wicked, Avenue Q, Movin' Out, All Shook Up, Good Vibrations, La Cage aux Follies, Assassins, Mamma Mia and Bombay Dreams. There will also soon be a season wrap-up with new jabs at Spamalot, Christina Applegate in Sweet Charity and Robert Goulet in La Cage aux Folles. The show was created and written by Gerard Alessandrini and is directed by Alessandrini and Phillip George.

The show features costumes by Alvin Colt, sets by Megan K. Halpern and lighting by Marc Janowitz.
