In the Heights Welcomes Idol Jordin Sparks to the Neighborhood

There's been plenty of buzz leading up to the Broadway debut of platinum-selling recording artist Jordin Sparks, the 2007 American Idol-turned-radio diva, who is now the leading lady of Tony Award-winning hit musical In the Heights. On August 19, the star took her first-ever bow on the Great White Way, debuting as sweet neighborhood girl Nina in the long-running show about the goings on of one small community in New York's Washington Heights. There were a few familiar faces in Jordin's opening night crowd as well, namely the Manzos of TV's The Real Housewives of New Jersey and Meaghan Martin, Disney darling of flicks like Camp Rock.
