About the Show

F. Murray Abraham, Dylan Baker and Katie Finneran have joined the previously announced Bobby Cannavale and Alison Pill in the Manhattan Theatre Club's forthcoming Broadway production of Mauritius. Theresa Rebeck's play will begin previews at the Biltmore Theatre on September 13 and open October 4, directed by Doug Hughes.

Mauritius is described as a tightly woven, sinister comedy. Jackie Alison Pill and Mary Finneran are half-sisters whose mother's death leaves them in possession of a rare stamp collection. But which sister actually owns the stamps? Which of three dealers can be trusted with their sale? And where do we choose to live: the present or the past?

Academy Award winner Abraham Amadeus most recently starred off-Broadway in The Jew of Malta and The Merchant of Venice, produced by Theatre for a New Audience. On Broadway, he has appeared in Triumph of Love, A Month in the Country and both parts of Angels in America. Off-Broadway, he has starred in numerous Shakespeare productions at the Public Theater, including King Lear, A Midsummer Night's Dream and Twelfth Night.

Baker was nominated for a Tony Award for La Bete and appeared on Broadway in Eastern Standard. Off-Broadway, he has appeared in Sea of Tranquility, Homebody/Kabul, What the Butler Saw, The Torchbearers, Tartuffe, That Championship Season, Pride's Crossing and many more.

Finneran won a Tony for Noises Off and has appeared on Broadway in The Iceman Cometh, Cabaret, Proposals, The Heiress, In the Summer House, My Favorite Year and others. Off-Broadway, she has appeared in Pig Farm, Arms and the Man, Bosoms and Neglect and You Never Can Tell, among others.

Mauritius is a co-production with the Huntington Theatre Company, which recently received the Elliot Norton Award for Outstanding Production for the world premiere production of the play.
