The most beloved swamp-dwelling ogre of all time makes his Broadway debut.
Since Shrek the Musical started previews in November, Brian d'Arcy James has been seeing a little less of New York City in the afternoon, thanks to the two and a half hours it takes the show's makeup and wardrobe teams to complete his man-to-ogre metamorphosis. Thus, it was rare treat to see the Broadway star in broad daylight—sans Shrek-wear—at the Planet Hollywood in Times Square on March 2. That's when the movie-mad franchise added d'arcy James’ hands to their Wall of Fame. The actor returned the favor by presenting a model of his elaborate Shrek head. It's currently on display at the restaurant, so go check it out. And click on to see more pics of Brian d'Arcy James landing on Planet Hollywood!
