About the Show

Brad Oscar, best known for his Tony-nominated performance in The Producers, will join the cast of Monty Python's Spamalot on December 18 at the Shubert Theatre. Oscar will play Sir Bedevere, Dennis' mother and Concorde, roles created on Broadway by Steve Rosen and currently being played by Jeffrey Kuhn.

Oscar will join current cast members Jonathan Hadary King Arthur and Marin Mazzie The Lady of the Lake, as well as Martin Moran, Lewis Cleale, Tom Deckman, Rick Holmes and David Hibbard. Pop star Clay Aiken will begin his run as Sir Robin on January 18.

Directed by Tony winner Mike Nichols, Spamalot has a book by Eric Idle and music by Idle and John DuPrez. The show won the 2005 Best Musical Tony.

Oscar received his Tony nomination for originating the role of Franz Liebkind in The Producers and went on to play the role of Max Bialystock over 1,200 times on Broadway, on tour, in London and in Las Vegas. Other Broadway credits include Aspects of Love and Jekyll and Hyde. Oscar has appeared in Forbidden Broadway in New York and Los Angeles and in Damn Yankees and Cabaret, both at Arena Stage.
