Fantasia Welcomes Alice Walker to The Color Purple

On Thursday, May 24, at the Broadway Theatre an American Idol met an American icon, when Fantasia Barrino welcomed the author of The Color Purple to see her interpretation of Walker's classic tale of Celie. Backstage after the show, as the two met, emotions were running high (as they often do with the wears-her-heart-on-her-sleeve Barrino). We were happy and proud to capture the moment. Click on.
