The Producers

It's your last chance to see the show that won the most Tonys in Broadway history -- now through April 22 only!

Roger Bart to Bloom Again in The Producers on May 3

Roger Bart is returning to The Producers. Bart will reprise the role of Leo Bloom opposite Richard Kind's Max Bialystock in the Broadway production beginning on May 3.

Bart received Tony and Drama Desk nominations for his performance in The Producers for his performance as Carmen Ghia, his original role. He also received the 1999 Tony and Drama Desk Awards for Best Featured Actor in a Musical for his performance in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. Other Broadway and first national touring credits include The Frogs, Triumph of Love, King David, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, The Secret Garden, Big River and The Who's Tommy. His off-Broadway credits include Fully Committed, Henry IV, Parts I & II, Up Against It and Vampire Lesbians of Sodom.

Based on Mel Brooks' 1968 film of the same name, The Producers is the story of down-on-his-luck theatrical producer Max Bialystock and Leo Bloom, a mousy accountant. Together, they hatch the ultimate scam: Raise more money than you need for a sure-fire Broadway fiasco...and pocket the difference. Their Broadway brainchild is none other than Springtime for Hitler.

The Producers currently stars Kind, Alan Ruck, Jonathan Freeman, John Treacy Eagan, Brooks Ashmanskas and Angie Schworer. Bart will stay with the production through July 3.
