Full Casting Announced for MTC's To Be or Not To Be

Full casting has been announced for Manhattan Theatre Club's upcoming world premiere of Nick Whitby's To Be Or Not To Be. The Casey Nicholaw-helmed comedy will kick off MTC's 2008-2009 season, beginning previews at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre previously the Biltmore Theatre on September 11 and opening October 2.

Robert Dorfman The Drowsy Chaperone, Michael McCarty Mary Poppins and Jimmy Smagula Damn Yankees at Encores! join previously announced stars Craig Bierko, Jan Maxwell, Brian Murray, Peter Benson, Steve Kazee, Kristine Nielsen, Brandon Perler, Rocco Sisto and Marina Squerciati.

Set in Warsaw in 1939, To Be or Not to Be features Bierko and Maxwell as stars of a theatrical troupe who face hard times after their smash-hit show is closed by censors during the German invasion-until a young bomber pilot enlists their help to catch a spy.

The creative team includes Anna Louizos scenic design, Gregg Barnes costume design, Howell Binkley lighting design, Darron L. West sound design and Josh Marquette hair design.
