Don’t cry for them, Argentina!
West Side Story producer Hal Luftig (posing with the two Argentinian superstars) has plans to bring Evita back to Broadway. Any casting ideas? Hmm!

About This Gallery

Elena Roger, who made a big splash in London with her portrayal of Eva Peron in the 2006 West End production of Evita, visited West Side Story on April 29. She is also known for winning an Olivier Award for her portrayal of the title role in Piaf and appearing in the London production of Boeing-Boeing—not to mention a handful of high-profile productions in Buenos Aires. Sure, Roger went to the Palace Theater to see the romantic and tragic musical about star-crossed lovers caught between rival street gangs, but she was also there to cheer on leading lady Josefina Scaglione. The two are fellow Argentina musical theater stars, and though they have never appeared together on stage, they are certainly fans of one another. Take a look!
