Carrie Fisher’s pedigree is pure Hollywood—in every sense of the word. She was born to famous parents (Debbie Reynolds and Eddie Fisher), married a superstar (Paul Simon) and starred in one of the most iconic films of all time (Star Wars, of course). So what would you expect the Broadway opening of the writer/performer’s solo show Wishful Drinking to be like? That’s right: wall-to-wall celebs. Studio 54, where the Tony Taccone-directed production is playing, hasn’t seen this many bold-faced names since its heyday as a nightclub. Fisher is not known for being delicate, so celebrities or not, she launched into her tell-all tale with her trademark wit and gusto.
