When one of Broadway’s biggest stars writes a memoir, she deserves a truly theatrical launch party. That’s exactly what two-time Tony Award winner Patti LuPone got on September 14, the official release date of Patti LuPone: A Memoir. The author and a huge crowd gathered in the lobby of the Vivian Beaumont Theater at Lincoln Center, where LCT artistic director Andre Bishop reminisced about LuPone’s star turn in Anything Goes and toasted her book and her forthcoming return to the stage in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. It was the start of a busy week that will include appearances on The View, at Lincoln Center's Barnes & Noble and a performance of "Everything's Coming Up Roses" on the September 17 edition of Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Whew! Broadway.com stopped by the launch party to snap photos of Patti’s pals with the happy author. For a preview of the book, click here.
