It's alive! Mel Brooks' wickedly funny twist on Mary Shelley's classic story.
No sooner was the Creature born on Broadway then the cast of Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein hit the recording studio to make the original cast album. As is tradition on the Great White Way, the actors proceeded in to record the musical numbers from the show on their first day off after opening night, which, for Roger Bart, Sutton Foster, Andrea Martin, Shuler Hensley, Christopher Fitzgerald, Fred Applegate and the rest of the talented cast of kooks making the mania in Transylvania, occurred on Monday, November 12. Breaking the tradition, co-star Megan Mullally recorded her numbers the night before, which means, sadly, she didn't make it into our historic photo op! But everyone else did. Click on!
