The Marquis Theatre opened in 1986 and is currently Broadway’s newest legitimate theater. Located in the Marriott Marquis, it is also the only such theater to exist completely within a hotel.
Currently the Nederlander Organization holds a 35-year lease on the property. At 1,611 seats, it is one of Broadway’s larger venues.
