A (Green) Day in the Life of American Idiot's Stark Sands

You'd think actors performing in an adrenaline-driven rock show every night would prefer to spend their days doing more resting and recuperating than rock 'n' rolling. Their busy schedules, however, don't always allow for that. Just ask Stark Sands, who stars as slacker-turned-soldier Tunney, in the Green Day rock opera, American Idiot. Since Idiot's opening on April 20, Sands and his cast members have been all over the place, performing on talk shows like Live with Regis and Kelly and the Late Show with David Letterman, not to mention reporting for duty at the St. James Theatre eight shows a week. Broadway.com tagged along with Sands to witness a busy day in his life as he spends time with his girlfriend, attends a promotional event in Idiot's honor and gets ready to rock before showtime.
