If you'd talked to the cast of Next Fall back in summer 2009, when the ensemble piece about the role of faith in a gay relationship was playing a limited off-Broadway run, everyone involved would have said they were proud of their powerful little show...but very few would have mentioned the "B" word: Broadway. Well, dreams do come true. Next Fall opened at the Helen Hayes Theatre on March 11 (with the backing of Sir Elton John and David Furnish, no less) and is now nominated for a Best Play Tony Award. On June 8, cast members Patrick Heusinger, Patrick Breen, Connie Ray, Cotter Smith, Maddie Corman and Sean Dugan, as well as Tony-nommed director Sheryl Kaller, hit another milestone: 100 performances on Broadway. The intimate show celebrated with an intimate gathering at the theater, passing around cake (and crossing fingers for some Tony love on June 13). We dropped in to help document Next Fall's happy day in a few fun photos. Check them out!
