Don’t let the low-key venue (the Peter Jay Sharp Theatre on Theater Row) or limited five-week run fool you: Hollywood comedy vet Kenny Solms (The Carol Burnett Show) attracted an A-list cast and opening night crowd for his autobiographical comedy It Must Be Him. The new play, centering on a no-longer-hot comedy writer (Peter Scolari) who’s having a serious midlife crisis, made its official off-Broadway debut on September 1, and Solms’ famous friends (hi, Anjelica Huston!) celebrated with him after the show at 48 Lounge.
