Here’s a photo op any Broadway fan will get a kick out of: two incredible Reno Sweeneys, posing backstage at Anything Goes. Tony winner Sutton Foster is currently giving an acclaimed performance as the glamorous nightclub singer in Roundabout Theatre Company’s Broadway revival of the Cole Porter musical. Her guest on April 28? Two-time Tony winner Patti LuPone, who received a Best Actress Tony nod for playing Reno in Lincoln Center Theater’s 1987 revival of the show. LuPone surprised Foster with a visit backstage at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, joined by a third Tony winner, Joel Grey, a.k.a. Moonface Martin. Take a look at the happy scene.
