Broadway-Bound Eric McCormack Blesses the Lord Onstage at Godspell

Before beginning his run as presidential contender Joseph Cantwell in the Broadway revival of Gore Vidal’s The Best Man, Eric McCormack took in a performance of Godspell, a show that's close to his heart: At age 15, the future Will & Grace star played Jesus in a production of the show! Coaxed by the young cast, McCormack joined Hunter Parrish, Telly Leung, George Salazar and Nick Blaemire onstage at Circle in the Square Theatre for a spirited rendition of “Lazarus.” After gifting a delighted crowd with his cameo appearance, McCormack headed backstage to pose for snapshots with the cast and crew.
