Lincoln Center Theater will present Young Jean Lee’s Obie-winning We’re Gonna Die at the Claire Tow Theater for four performances only in September. Directed by Paul Lazar and written and performed by Lee, We’re Gonna Die will run as part of the LCT3 programming from September 12 through September 15.
In We’re Gonna Die, Young Jean Lee takes the stage with her band Future Wife (composed of Mike Hanf, Andrew Hoepfner, Nick Jenkins and Ben Kupstas) in a life-affirming show about the thing everyone has in common: death. Featuring music by Future Wife and choreography by Faye Driscoll, We’re Gonna Die first premiered at Joe’s Pub in 2011.
LCT3 is a programming initiative devoted to producing the work of new artists as well as developing new audiences. The new Claire Tow Theater currently houses the LCT3 production, Slowgirl, which will run through August 5.
