Love was in the air on November 1, when Academy Award nominee Jessica Chastain, Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens and the cast of The Heiress celebrated their official opening night. Directed by Moises Kaufman, The Heiress tells the bittersweet story of Catherine Sloper (Chastain), a plain-looking but wealthy woman who is smitten by her handsome suitor, Morris Townsend (Stevens)—but Catherine’s father (played by Oscar nominee David Strathairn) suspects the man is only interested in her money. After taking their opening night bows, Chastain, Stevens, Strathairn, two-time Tony winner Judith Ivey and more joined Kaufman for a soiree at the Edison Ballroom.
