Thirteen years ago, Dena Hammerstein had a big idea: to bring interactive theater, performed by professional actors, to children in NYC hospitals and care facilities. She founded the nonprofit Only Make Believe program in memory of her late husband, James (son of Oscar Hammerstein), and quickly won the support of the Broadway community. On November 5, Law & Order: SVU alum Christopher Meloni hosted a gala benefit performance for this worthy cause at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre, and Broadway.com stopped by to snap photos of the festivities. Click through to Make Believe!
