5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche, the delicious off-Broadway comedy about five repressed housewives in the 1950s, is changing things up a bit for 2013. The show had initially extended through January 6, but will revamp its performance schedule to run only on the second weekend of every month at the SoHo Playhouse.
Beginning on January 11, the show will perform on the second Friday, Saturday and Sunday of each month (including two shows on Saturday). Performances through January 11 have been cancelled to reflect the new schedule.
The comedy tells the tasty tale of five women who gather in a small, pleasant town for their annual quiche breakfast. All the ladies are members of the Susan B. Anthony Society for the Sisters of Gertrude Stein, and their meeting is not devoid of a few unexpected revelations and surprises.
The production stars Caitlin Chuckta, Rachel Farmer, Megan Johns, Thea Lux and Maari Suorsa as the aforementioned ladies. 5 Lesbians Eating a Quiche is written by Evan Linder and Andrew Hobgood and directed by Sarah Gitenstein.
