Tony winner Betty Buckley returns to the London stage as the eccentric recluse Countess Aurelia in the British premiere of Jerry Herman’s Dear World. Directed and choreographed by Olivier Award winner Gillian Lynne (Cats, The Phantom of the Opera), the production is set to run at London’s Charing Cross Theatre through March 30. Dear World follows Countess Aurelia in her quest to stop corporate greed in post-war Paris. Set in 1945, the play is based on Jean Giraudoux's The Madwoman of Chaillot.
