There was magic in the air on February 25, when The Dance and the Railroad stars Ruy Iskandar and Yuekun Wu took their official opening night bows at off-Broadway’s Signature Center. Directed by May Adrales, the acclaimed two-hander by David Henry Hwang tells the story of Ma (Iskandar) and Lone (Wu), two Chinese railroad workers who use traditional dance to reconnect with their homeland during a labor strike. After the moving opening night performance, Iskandar, Wu, Adrales and Hwang celebrated at a star-studded soiree in the Pershing Square Signature Center.
