Hollywood Welcomes Tribes
The west coast will finally see what the east coast has been raving about when Nina Raine’s Tribes makes its L.A. premiere at the Mark Taper Forum. Deaf actor Russell Harvard and Susan Pourfar reprise their acclaimed off-Broadway performances as a star-crossed couple in this riveting family drama. David Cromer’s production is not to be missed, running from February 27 through April 14.


LOUISVILLE, KY
A Launching Pad for American Plays
The Actors Theatre of Louisville begins its 37th Humana Festival of New American Plays on February 27. The month-and-a-half-long event offers full productions of seven plays from rising playwrights around the country, starting off with Sam Marks’ The Delling Shore. Producers from coast to coast rush to Humana, so be among the first to see tomorrow's hits before the celebration ends on April 7!


CHICAGO, IL
Steppenwolf Stands Up Against Violence
Journalist Miles Harvey teams with students from DePaul University to tackle the problem of youth violence in Chicago in How Long Will I Cry?, a new production from Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Featuring first-hand accounts of victims, the show will be presented at area public libraries as well as at Steppenwolf. Edward F. Torres directs a run from February 26 through March 23.

HOUSTON, TX
A Few Good Texans Go on Trial
Aaron Sorkin’s biting courtroom drama A Few Good Men moves into Houston’s Alley Theatre for a March 1 through March 24 run. Artistic Director Gregory Boyd breathes new life into Sorkin’s heart-pounding miliary thriller, which stars an ensemble of eight Broadway vets, including Lee Sellars as Colonel Jessep. Think you can you handle the truth!?


BOCA RATON, FL
Chicago Kills in Florida
The classic musical Chicago brings campy goodness to Florida through the Boca Raton Theatre Guild. Broadway alum Krisha Marcano (The Color Purple) leads the cast as the unapologetically murderous Velma Kelly. If you’re feeling guilty, catch director Keith Garsson’s take on the award-winning musical from March 1 through March 17 at the Willow Theatre at Sugar Sand Park.
