Buckle up! Hunter Foster, Keith Carradine and the cast of Hands on a Hardbody brought a taste of the American dream to Broadway on March 21, when they took their first official bows at the Brooks Atkinson Theatre. Based on a real-life competition in Texas, Hands on a Hardbody tells the story of ten down-on-their-luck contestants who enter a contest to win a fully loaded pick-up truck—last one with his hand on the truck wins it! After the show, the cast joined co-composers Trey Anastasio (of Phish fame) and Amanda Green, book writer Doug Wright and director Neil Pepe for a starry bash at the Roseland Ballroom.
