Emmy Winner Bryan Cranston to Star as President Lyndon Johnson in All the Way at A.R.T.

Three-time Emmy winner Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) will play President Lyndon B. Johnson in the American Repertory Theater's production of Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Schenkkan’s All the Way this fall, according to The New York Times. Directed by Bill Rauch, the drama will begin performances on September 13 at the Loeb Drama Center.

Set in 1963, All the Way follows President Johnson's turbulent first year in office following the assassination of John F. Kennedy and explores the president's battle to pass civil rights legislation while the war in Vietnam looms. In addition to Cranston, the principal cast of All the Way will include Brandon J. Dirden as Martin Luther King, Jr., Michael McKean as J. Edgar Hoover and Reed Birney as Hubert Humphrey.

The ensemble cast will also feature Dakin Matthews as Richard Russell, Arnie Burton as Robert McNamara, as well as Crystal A. Dickenson as Coretta Scott King, Betsy Aidem as Lady Bird Johnson, Eric Lenox Abrams as Bob Moses, Peter Jay Fernandez as Roy Wilkins, Marianne Hagan as Lurleen Wallace, William Jackson Harper as Stokely Carmichael, Christopher Liam Moore as Walter Jenkins and Ethan Phillips as Stanley Levison.
