Vineyard Theatre's Somewhere Fun, Starring Kathleen Chalfant & Kate Mulgrew, Begins Performances

The new off-Broadway dramedy Somewhere Fun, starring Tony Award nominee Kathleen Chalfant and Kate Mulgrew, begins preview performances on May 15 at off-Broadway’s Vineyard Theatre. The show will play a strictly-limited engagement through June 23. Opening night is scheduled for June 4.

Penned by Jenny Schwartz and directed by Anne Kauffman, Somewhere Fun follows Rosemary and Evelyn, two women who met "a hundred thousand years ago" in Central Park when their children were barely born, and who are reunited one windy fall day thirty-five years later on Madison Avenue. With their children now grown and the world changing rapidly before (what’s left of) their eyes, each finds herself face to face with the terrors, joys, and surprises of life and time.

In addition to Chalfant and Mulgrew, Somewhere Fun features Richard Bekins, Brooke Bloom, Greg Keller, Maria Elena Ramirez and Mary Shultz. The production includes set design by Marsha Ginsberg, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Japhy Weideman and sound design by Daniel Kluger.
