Laura Benanti Will Release a Live Album Recorded at 54 Below

Tony winner Laura Benanti will release a live recording of her upcoming 54 Below show. Titled In Constant Search of the Right Kind of Attention, the album will be released on September 10. Benanti will perform seven shows at the underground nightclub May 20 through May 25.

Benanti is the first actress in history to win a Tony Award for the role of Gypsy Rose Lee in the musical Gypsy. Her additional Broadway credits include The Sound of Music, Swing!, Into the Woods, Nine, The Violet Hour, The Wedding Singer, In the Next Room and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (for which she received an additional Tony nomination). Her screen credits include the recently canceled sitcom Go On, The Big C, The Playboy Club, Eli Stone and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.
