Annie’s Brynn O’Malley Will Star in the Broadway-Bound Honeymoon in Vegas with Rob McClure & Tony Danza

Annie's Brynn O’Malley is going to trade in NYC for Vegas. O’Malley will star alongside Tony Danza and Rob McClure as the woman at the center of a love-triangle in Andrew Bergman and Jason Robert Brown’s new musical Honeymoon in Vegas, a production spokesperson confirmed to Broadway.com. Directed by Gary Griffin, the pre-Broadway world premiere will run at New Jersey’s Paper Mill Playhouse September 26 through October 17.  

Honeymoon in Vegas tells the story of Jack Singer (McClure), a commitment-phobe who finally proposes to his girlfriend Betsy (O’Malley). The couple heads to Vegas to get hitched, but when wealthy gambler Tommy Korman (Danza) falls head over heels for Betsy (who bears a striking resemblance to his late wife), he arranges for Jack to lose big in a poker game so he can claim the bride-to-be as his own girlfriend.

Honeymoon in Vegas features music and lyrics by Brown and a book by Bergman.The new musical comedy is based on the 1992 film by Bergman, which starred Nicolas Cage as Jack, Sarah Jessica Parker as Betsy and James Caan as Tommy Korman.

O’Malley currently appears as Grace Farrell in the Tony-nominated revival of Annie. No word yet on when she will play her final performance at the Palace Theatre. O'Malley also appeared on Broadway as Celeste #1, Elaine in Sunday in the Park with George, Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray, Belle in Beauty and the Beast and Nessarose in Wicked. Her TV credits include Smash, A Gifted Man, The Big C and The Battery’s Down.

Additional casting for Honeymoon in Vegas will be announced in the coming months.
