A bevy of out Broadway stars came together for an important cause on May 20: the benefit performance of David Drake’s The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me. This one-night-only performance at the Gerard W. Lynch Theater at John Jay College raised funds and awareness for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and the Sero Project. Directed by Tony nominee Robert La Fosse, the Obie-winning solo show was reimagined as an ensemble piece and featured Tony winner B.D. Wong, Tony nominees Robin De Jesus, Andre de Shields and Rory O'Malley, as well as Wesley Taylor (Smash), Claybourne Elder (Venice), Rent’s Anthony Rapp, Donald C. Shorter Jr. (La Cage aux Folles), Brandon Cordieiro, Aaron Tone and Chad Ryan. Click below to go inside this moving and important evening of theater.
