Hotcha! Alexander Gemignani and Paul C. Vogt Join the Razzle Dazzle World of Chicago

Broadway favorites Paul C. Vogt and Alexander Gemignani are both set to join the cast of Broadway's Chicago this summer. Vogt will assume the role of "Mister Cellophane" Amos Hart beginning June 10, and Gemignani will slip on the tap shoes of slick lawyer Billy Flynn beginning June 18. Vogt replaces Raymond Bokhour, who wraps up on June 9, and Gemignani is taking over for Adam Pascal, who will play his final performamce on June 16. Chicago continues its run at the Ambassador Theatre.

Set in the 1920s, Chicago follows Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover. Desperate to avoid conviction, she hires Billy Flynn, Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer, much to the dismay of her rival cellmate Velma Kelly. Directed by Walter Bobbie, the Tony-winning revival is now in its 17th year.

Vogt previously starred on Broadway as Edna Turnblad in the musical Hairpsray. His film and TV credits include Raising Hope, Glee, Grey's Anatomy, Hannah Montana, Arrested Development, Reno 911, Valentine's Day and Princess Diaries 2. Gemignani's Broadway credits include Les Miserables, Sweeney Todd, Assassins, The People in the Picture and Sunday in the Park with George. His off-Broadway credits include Road Show, Headstrong and Avenue Q. Gemignani's TV credits include Homeland and The Good Wife.

Chicago currently stars Amy Spanger as Roxie Hart, Amra-Faye Wright as Velma Kelly, Christine Pedi as Matron "Mama" Morton and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine. Talk show and Broadway.com Audience Choice Awards host Wendy Williams will make her Broadway debut as Matron "Mama" Morton beginning June 25.
