The Cast of Off-Broadway’s The Silver Cord Celebrates Opening Night at Sardi’s

Family drama abounds in Sidney Howard’s 1926 play The Silver Cord, which centers around a female villain named Mrs. Phelps. In the first major New York revival, which opened off-Broadway on June 11, veteran actor Dale Carman offers a unique spin on the role of the manipulative mother. Directed by Obie winner Dan Wackerman, the Peccadillo Theater Company production co-stars Wilson Bridges and Thomas Matthew Kelley as the Phelps sons and Caroline Kaplan and Victoria Mack as their “unsuitable” love interests. The company celebrated its opening night with a reception at Sardi’s, attended by Howard’s daughter, granddaughter and great granddaughter. Check out the company photo above.
