Three-time Tony winner Jack O’Brien has helmed dozens of memorable productions of plays and musicals on Broadway, at San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre (where he served as artistic director for many years) and on stages around the world. Now this warm and witty theater pro has gathered memories from the early years of his career in a fascinating new memoir Jack Be Nimble (Farrar Straus and Giroux). On June 18, O’Brien celebrated publication day of his book at a party hosted by Lincoln Center Theater (home of his productions of The Nance, The Coast of Utopia and Henry IV) at the Claire Tow Theater. Not surprisingly, a ton of luminaries turned out to salute the popular O’Brien! Click through our gallery to join the fun.
