Michael Cerveris, Victoria Clark & More Will Reunite for One-Night-Only Titanic Concert at Avery Fisher Hall

The full cast has been announced for Manhattan Concert Productions' previously reported concert version of Maury Yeston and Peter Stone's Tony-winning musical Titanic. The one-night-only concert will feature original cast members Michael Cerveris, Victoria Clark, Brian d'Arcy James, Martin Moran and David Garrison. Directed by Don Stephenson (another original cast member!), Titanic will set sail at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall on February 17, 2014.

The cast of Titanic will include Cerveris as Thomas Andrews, Clark as Alice Beane, d'Arcy James as Frederick Barrett, Moran as Harold Bride and Garrison as J. Bruce Ismay. In addition, the concert will feature Becky Ann Baker as Charlotte Cardoza, John Bolton as Charles Lightoller, Ryan Silverman as Charles Clarke, Ron Raines as Isidor Straus, Clarke Thorell as Jim Farrell, Jill Paice as Caroline Neville and Michael Mulheren as John B. Thayer.

Titanic will also feature Bill Buell as Edgar Beane, Mindy Cooper as Edith Corse Evans, Allan Corduner as Henry Etches, David Costabile as William Murdoch, Alma Cuervo as Ida Straus, John Cunningham as Captain E. J. Smith, Lisa Datz as Madeleine Astor, David Elder as Frederick Fleet, Jody Gelb as Eleanor Widener, Erin Hill as Kate Mullins, Robin Irwin as Marion Thayer, John Jellison as George Widener, Joseph Kolinski as Benjamin Guggenheim, Theresa McCarthy as Kate Murphey, Drew McVety as Herbert J. Pitman, Jennifer Piech as Kate McGowan, Ted Sperling as Joseph Bell and William Youmans as J.J. Astor.

The concert performance will include music direction by Kevin Stites, choreography by Liza Gennaro, projection design by Shawn Sagady, lighting design by Stephen Terry and set design by Narelle Sissons. Titanic will feature over 100 singers from all over the country, led by a Broadway ensemble and accompanied by the New York City Chamber Orchestra, with musical supervision by David Loud.

Based on the real-life disaster of 1912, Titanic tells the story of the doomed ocean liner and the travelers aboard the so-called unsinkable ship. The musical premiered on Broadway on April 23, 1997. It won five Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book. Titanic’s score includes “Godspeed Titanic,” “The Largest Floating Object in the World” and “I Must Get On that Ship.”
