Love Is In the Air! Tickets Now Available For Romantic Comedy Handle With Care, Starring Carol Lawrence

West Side Story legend Carol Lawrence is returning to the New York stage! Tickets are now available for Emmy nominee Jason Odell Williams’ new play Handle With Care, featuring Lawrence as an Israeli grandmother who travels to America with her granddaughter. Directed by Karen Carpenter, the romantic comedy begins performances December 3, with an official opening night set for December 15 at off-Broadway’s Westside Theatre Downstairs.

Handle With Care features Lawrence, Sheffield Chastain, Charlotte Cohn and Jonathan Sale. The play tells the story of a young Israeli woman who meets a man on her trip to America. She has little command of English and he has little command of romance. Is their love an accident, or is it destiny generations in the making? Handle with Care premiered at Florida's Gulfshore Playhouse in 2011.

The new comedy features set design by David Arsenault and lighting design by Cory Pattak.
