Here’s an item you’ll want to put on your Christmas list: Broadway alum Natalie Toro will release her new holiday album Just In Time For Christmas on November 12. In honor of the record’s release, Toro will play a concert engagement at Birdland on December 8.
On Just In Time For Christmas, Toro duets with artists including Ryan Kelly and Grammy winner Jon Secada, putting a new spin on classic Christmas tunes including “Baby, It’s Cold Outside,” “The Christmas Song,” “Ave Maria / O Holy Night,” and “I’ll Be Home For Christmas.” The album will also feature a new track by David Zippel and David Friedman, “Just In Time For Christmas,” and “Our First Christmas Together,” written by Grammy nominee Phil Coutler.
Toro made her Broadway debut in Les Miserables, playing Eponine for three consecutive years. She also appeared in A Tale of Two Cities. Her additional theater credits include A Christmas Carol, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats, In the Heights and the 20th anniversary tour of Evita. Her film and TV credits include Elementary, Person of Interest and Law & Order.
