Time is up for the London’s stripping steel workers. The new Olivier-nominated stage adaptation of the 1997 film The Full Monty will close early in the West End. Originally scheduled to play through June 14, the comedy by original screenplay writer Simon Beaufoy will now close March 29 at the Noel Coward Theatre.
Directed by Daniel Evans and choreographed by Steven Hoggett, The Full Monty stars Sydney Cole, Kenny Doughty, Craig Gazey, Roger Morlidge, Kieran O’Brien, Simon Rouse, Russell Anthony, Tracy Brabin, Caroline Carver, Eamonn Fleming, Elaine Glover, Rachel Lumberg, Ian Mercer and Michael Skyers.
The Full Monty tells the story of a group of unemployed steel workers who take up stripping to pay the bills. The production began performances February 15, 2014. But if you missed the action in the West End, never fear! The production will kick off a 32-week national tour beginning September 11 at the Manchester Opera House.
