Adrian Edmondson, Neil Morrissey & More Will Star in West End Transfer of Tim Firth's Neville's Island

The Chichester Festival Theatre production of Neville’s Island will transfer to the West End. Angus Jackson directs the comedy by Tim Firth. Performances will begin at the Duke of York’s Theatre on October 10. Opening night is set for October 21. Adrian Edmondson will reprise his performance as Gordon from the Chichester run; he is joined by Neil Morrissey as Neville, Miles Jupp as Angus and Robert Webb as Roy.

Neville’s Island follows the misadventures of four out-of-condition, out-of-their-depth businessmen on an out-of-control team-building exercise. Shipwrecked in the Lake District and menaced by wildlife, the unlikely explorers battle the elements and each other as corporate bonding descends into a hilarious carnival of squabbling.

Edmondson is known for his roles on the series The Young Ones and Bottom, both of which he co-wrote alongside Rik Mayall. His additional credits include The Supergrass, Blackadder, Jonathan Creek and Holby City. Morrissey returns to the West End after appearing in shows including Acorn Antiques, Guys and Dolls and A Passionate Woman; he is best known for his role as Tony on BBC’s Men Behaving Badly. Jupp has appeared on the small screen in A Young Doctor’s Notebook, The Thick of It and Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle; his film credits include Gimsby Chick Lit and The Monuments Men. Webb’s West End credits include Fat Pig and Perfect Nonsense; he is also known for his performance as Jeremy in Peep Show.

Neville’s Island will feature set design by Robert Innes Hopkins, lighting design by Howard Harrison, sound design by Paul Groothuis and music by Isobel Waller-Bridge.
