Chicago veteran Roz Ryan is returning to the Broadway company of Chicago. She will play Matron Mama Morton, a role she last played in 2002, from September 11 through January 4, 2007.
Ryan last appeared on Broadway in the Tony-winning revival of The Pajama Game at the American Airlines Theatre. She's also been seen on the Great White Way in One Mo' Time, Dreamgirls and Ain't Misbehavin'. Her other theatrical credits include A Christmas Carol, Violet, Annie, South Pacific and Blues in the Night. Ryan spent five seasons on the long-running NBC sitcom Amen. Her film credits include Went to Coney Island on a Mission From God... Be Back by Five, Nikita Blues and Hercules.
Chicago currently stars Bianca Marroquin as Roxie Hart, Brenda Braxton as Velma Kelly, Usher as Billy Flynn, Kevin Chamberlin as Amos Hart and Lillias White as Matron Mama Morton.
