Brian Kerwin has joined the cast of Tracy Letts' August: Osage County in the role of Steve Heidebrecht. The play, directed by Anna D. Shapiro, will begin previews at the Imperial Theatre on October 30 and open on November 20.
Kerwin, who previously worked with Letts on Man of Nebraska, appeared on Broadway in the Lincoln Center revival of The Little Foxes Outer Critics Circle nomination and After the Night and the Music at Manhattan Theatre Club. His other stage credits include The Goat, or Who is Sylvia ACT and Mark Taper Forum and Emily Theatre World Award. His film work includes Torch Song Trilogy, Getting Away with Murder and Jack.
Kerwin joins a cast that features most of the original cast members from the world premiere at Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago. The ensemble cast includes Steppenwolf members Ian Barford, Francis Guinan, Mariann Mayberry, Amy Morton, Sally Murphy, Jeff Perry, Rondi Reed, plus Deanna Dunagan, Kimberly Guerrero, the playwright's father Dennis Letts and Troy West .
